2005 Frontiers

The journal Frontiers in Sustainability recently launched a new section on Sustainable Organizations. This section offers opportunities to publish innovative and challenging papers. Interested researchers can get involved as authors or in other roles.

The journal aims for a holistic view of organizations encompassing operations and production, management and strategy, organizational systems, assessment and reporting, governance, supply chains, recovery/circular economy, change management and innovation, stakeholder engagement, collaboration with other organizations, etc. Each collection may contribute to one or more of these subtopics or to sustainable organizations as a whole. The papers may focus on processes inside and outside the organization, apply a transdisciplinary perspective (going beyond disciplinary silos), and systemic approaches (looking into the system elements and how they inter-relate, for example operations, management, human resources, and change management). Theoretical and empirical papers that are innovative and challenging, and also controversial ones are welcome. The journal aims to create a platform for academic discussions, and encourages authors to build upon published research and provide responses and critiques to other papers.

If you are interested in being part of this endeavor as an author, initiate a new article collection or be involved in any other role, please contact the Sustainable Organizations section of Frontiers in Sustainability, or write to This email address is being protected from spambots.
