Last November, during the 25th European Week of Advanced Management, the new educational model of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) was presented in front of over 200 participants at the event "IKD jendartea".
During the 25th European Week of Advanced Management, the new educational model of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) was presented by the Vicerrector of Innovation, Social Commitment and Culture (Idoia Fernandez). The strategy called "IKD i3" (“i to the power of three”: learning ("ikaskuntza" in Basque) x research ("ikerkuntza") x sustainability ("iraunkortasuna") aims to multiply learning by research and by sustainability, that is, an exponential growth of each of the terms, ushering in processes and products hitherto unknown.
After this introduction entitled "EHU Agenda 2030, IK3 i3 strategy", the first experiences of the development of this strategy were presented: Ocean i3 (Julieta Barrenechea), Social Justice Lab Legal Clinic (Juana Goizueta), Gaztenpatia-Morazan (Enkarni Gomez), "Transparency and a gender perspective in teaching new writing" project (Leire Iturregui), and Campus Bizia Lab-HECA (Dani Zuazagoitia). Additionally, 55 posters were presented during the coffee break. The event concluded with a recognition to the Faculties and Schools participating in the program “Reactivate + Universities”, teachers received an excellent evaluation of Docentiaz, IKD structured groups of teachers recognized in the first two pilot calls and Faculties and Schools with a positive certification of AUDIT.
In total, 202 people participated at this meeting (66.8% female, 31.7% male and 1.5% non-binary) and their satisfaction with the event was 8 out of 10.
